The new version is not yet published. I will publish it after I finish testing, and after I have used it to complete my next turn ("user testing"). Target release date: March 21 (happy spring!). I will announce it here when ready. |

I need more turnsheet for testing Constella. I have played 3 positions, as Tenyryl, Menteron, and Techwaar. Have you completed any games as a Rimbarter, Kwillic, Sar D'Kar, or Fleer Kavor? The best thing for testing would be a complete set of turnsheets for a game. If that is not possible, I could use one turn from late in a game (with the most data). If you are willing to share your turnsheets with me, I promise I will only use them for testing Constella. I will not share them with anyone, and I will not examine them except as needed for testing. I am playing in one Starcon game right now; please don't send any turnsheets from current games. Thanks for your help. If you have any files to share, you may send them to: amaso@gadgetbear.com[/i] |

Hallo, ich habe mir das Programm Constella gedownloaded, weiß jetzt aber nicht, wie ich weiter mit der Software umzugehen habe. Konkret: ich kriegs nicht mal fertig, das Programm zu starten. Ich weiß auch nicht, was eine jar.datei ist. Könnte mir hier jemand ein paar Tipps geben? Danke schon im voraus! AZRAEL

Was Constella angeht, so hoffe ich, dass du Linux hast. Versuche mal "java -jar constella.jar" von der Konsole in dem Constella Verzeichnis. Wenn es nicht klappt, so wird entweder Java Runtime Environment gar nicht auf dem Rechner installiert sein, oder, wenn das Programm abstürzt, es ist das falsche JRE. Man bräuchte zumindest JRE 1.4 von Sun. Das bekommt man Z.B. http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html. Dann sollte man aber vorher alle anderen Implementierungen von Java "deaktivieren"/rausschmeissen. Vielleicht funktioniert das auch unter Windoof. Da kenne ich mich nicht so aus. Und, wenn du Webstart hast, kannst auch damit probieren.[/url] |

Have you completed any games as a Rimbarter, Kwillic, Sar D'Kar, or Fleer Kavor? ... Sorry, I've only played a Techwaar. |

Hallo Teg, danke für Deine Antwort.  Leider bin ich ein stinknormaler Windows-user und hab von allem anderem leider keine Ahnung;-) 
Naja, werd ich halt weiterhin mit Papier und Bleistift meine Karten zeichnen (ist die letzten 16 Jahre bei Starweb ja immerhin auch gut gegangen);-)

Azrael, ich habe WIN drauf. Einfach JAVA von www.sun.com downloaden und installieren und danach die .JAR Datei öffnen und schwupps startet das Programm. Das ist alles. Nur muß JAVA auf dem Rechner installiert sein. |

Hallo sun-e, erstmal herzlichen dank! Habe nun JAVA installiert und jetzt funktioniert das Programm auch wie gewünscht. Danke auch an dieser Stelle an amaso für die wirklich hervorragende Arbeit. AZRAEL |
