-------- German version - English version below --------

Das Magellan Team freut sich, Euch

Magellan 2.0

offiziell vorstellen zu können.

<http://magellan-client.sf.net/>

Was ist Magellan?

<http://magellan-client.sourceforge.net/mantis/>

Was ist neu in Magellan 2.0?

* frei konfigurierbarer Oberfläche mit frei verschiebbaren Komponenten (Docks) und der Möglichkeit, mehrere Layouts anzulegen

* Darstellung des Astralraums mit Schemen der realen Dimension im transparenten Look

* Jahreszeit-abhängige Darstellung der Karte

* Neue und verbesserte Analysetools für "offene Probleme"

* Diverse neue "Look & Feels"

* Integrierte Hilfe für Magellan und Eressea

* Volle Unterstützung von UTF-8 für Reports und Befehle, um mehr Sprachen zu ermöglichen

* Direkter Versand der Befehle via Mail aus dem Client mit SMTP Authentifizierung

* Situationsbedingt farbig hinterlegte Nachrichtentexte

* Viele neue Icons

* Darstellung von diversen Gebäudetypen als Icon auf der Regionskarte

* Neu überarbeiteter Plugin-Mechanismus für die flexible Einbindung diverser externer Tools

* Integrierte Plugins zum Bearbeiten von Kartenmaterial (MapEdit) und zum Erstellen von automatisierten Befehlen mit Hilfe von BeanShell Scripten (Extended Commands) und weiteren Plugins auf der Magellan Webseite

* Magellan ConsoleMerger (Tool zum Zusammenfügen von Reports außerhalb von Magellan)

* Trennung der Magellan Oberfläche von den Datenobjekten, um z.B. Konsolenanwendungen zu ermöglichen (siehe ConsoleMerger)

-------- English version --------

The Magellan Team proudly presents...

Magellan 2.0!

<http://magellan.log-out.net/>

What is Magellan?

Magellan is a fully-featured client tool for the play-by-e-mail game Eressea. It displays a map of your part of the Eressea world, supports you in writing orders, performs many complex calculations for you and is available completely in English. You really only need to leave the program to write mails to your allies.

Feedback and bug reports

on the Eressea Forum or Mantis:

<http://magellan-client.sourceforge.net/mantis/>

Your comments are very important for the further development of Magellan!

What's new in Magellan 2.0?

We've made quite some changes and additions to the client. Among these are the following functions:

* freely configurable desktop with movable components (docks) you can place on the screen anywhere you want and create multiple layouts

* view of the Astral Plane with shapes of the Real Plane in a transparent look

* seasonal view of the map (winter, spring, summer, fall)

* new and improved analytical tools for "Open Tasks"

* several new Look 'n' Feels

* integrated help for Magellan and Eressea (English translation under construction, see below)

* full support of UTF-8 for reports and orders to support other languages

* direct mailing of your orders through mail from the client with SMTP authentication

* colorful message texts based on the situation at hand

* lots of new icons

* presentation of several building types inside the region map

* newly overhauled Plug-in-mechanism for flexible importing of several external tools

* integrated plug-ins for editing maps (MapEdit) and to create orders automatically with the use of BeanShell scripts (Extended Commands) and several other plug-ins on the web site.

* Magellan ConsoleMerger (Tool for merging of reports outside of Magellan)

* separation of the Magellan GUI from the data objects, enabling console applications (see ConsoleMerger)

Magellan 2 is distributed as an installer package and requires Java 5. The installer copies the requested functions to your hard drive. An optional function checks for updates whenever you start Magellan.

Development continues, of course. We still have a few minor bugs and a lot of feature requests that we haven't gotten around to yet, but that we of course want to take care of. However, after a year of further development we found it necessary to get an official release out.

We're looking for more people to help translate the German help into English and for more developers.

I (Thoralf) would like to thank Fiete, Steffen, Steve, Ralf, Mark alias Mar'ek and of course Enno for their support. Additional thanks goes to all developers that worked on Magellan before us.

And of course we thank you players/users for your ongoing support in the past couple of years.

Ach herje.

bye
Thoralf

Code:
RendererLoader.dontSearchAdditionalRenderers=true

Code:
helper.setOrder(sammler, "MACHE 5 KRÄUTER");
helper.addOrder(sammler, "; Kräuterübergabe an Transporter:");
helper.addOrder(sammler, "GIB " + transporter + " KRÄUTER");

dann ist die Ausgabe genau verkehrt herum
Code:
GIB 9ez6 KRÄUTER
; Kräuterübergabe an Transporter:
